Overview & Highlights

Welcome to Caramello Salato Cafe, a delightful coffee shop nestled in the heart of Malaga at C. Carreteria, 20-22. This charming venue offers more than just a place to sip coffee; it's an experience filled with vibrant colors, inviting decor, and a menu designed to tantalize your taste buds.

From the moment you step inside, you'll be captivated by the stylish decor and warm atmosphere. Guests rave about the attentive and rapid service that makes every visit enjoyable. One highlight from the menu includes the pancakes, particularly the pistachio variety, which has left many customers in awe of its flavor and generous portions. Christopher Collis recommends them alongside eggs benedict, a fan favorite that exemplifies the cafe’s commitment to quality and presentation.

Not just a feast for the eyes, the food at Caramello Salato Cafe is a celebration of flavors. The fruit juices are refreshing, and many patrons express a desire to return to explore the entire menu. While the pancakes may not be the absolute best in Malaga, the overall experience—including the vibrant atmosphere and perfectly crafted dishes—creates a memorable dining experience. Every bite is met with a backdrop that’s Instagram-worthy, as Marcel van Poeijer pointed out, making it hard to resist capturing those moments.

Moreover, patrons appreciate the friendly staff, including those who speak a bit of English, making it accessible to international visitors. The cafe strikes a balance between being a go-to spot for locals and a welcoming destination for travelers. As Nadja Daukszys noted, the varied menu caters to different tastes, ensuring that everyone finds something delightful to enjoy.

While the cafe has received some constructive feedback on cleanliness, particularly in the bathrooms, and the need for some background music to complement its inviting decor, these aspects do little to overshadow the overwhelmingly positive reviews. Many, like Natalia Górecka, have declared their intention to return, drawn back not just by the food and coffee—which is said to be “at another level”—but also by the vibrant atmosphere that leaves you feeling good.

In conclusion, Caramello Salato Cafe is not just another coffee shop in Malaga; it is a lovingly curated experience that invites you to indulge in its delightful offerings. Whether you’re after a hearty breakfast or a sweet afternoon treat, this cafe truly hits the spot.

Excellent food beautifully presented. The service was attentive and rapid. There are other breakfast “popular” breakfast brunch venues nearby with queues out the door; don’t bother, Caramello Salato Café hits the spot. Recommend the pancakes and eggs benedict. The only improvement would be the addition of some background music to enhance the already attractive decoration.

When we came up, we got seated very quickly, and immediately I loved the colour scheme in the place. The menu is varied and can suit many different tastes! I got the pistachio pancakes and Oh. My. God. Unreal! So delicious and very large portion, so I do recommend to share as it is also very sweet. All of our portions were substantial and the prices were reasonable. The lady who served us spoke a bit of English which made it slightly easier for us. Overall, it was a lovely experience, although the bathrooms lack a bit of cleanliness, and I couldn’t find the women’s room, but that may just be my own fault. Despite this, I recommend this place strongly!

Absolutely amazing dishes! Decorated in such manner that you can’t resist taking photos, and the taste is incredible. Eggs Benedict is definitely a fan favorite for a reason. Pancakes were top notch as well, but I need to be honest: At the core, the pancakes weren’t the best I’ve had in Malaga, but the decoration and entourage makes up for that! The fruit juices are delicious as well. This is definitely a place where you want to come back to try out the entire menu.

During our trip to Malaga we visited twice, excellent food, coffee was at another level, friendly staff and colourful interiors made you feel good. Would recommend to everyone!

An amazing pistachio cheesecake and a coffee. Lovely place with good service. I don't put 5 for service, because they can clean and take care of the toilet better. I understand it depends on visitors, but for me it's an important sign about the cleaning. Also, maybe, I would remove the smell of the artificial aromatization in the room, as the smell of coffee is better in the cafeteria. The rest was very good.

A taste of Naples in the hearth of Malaga. A real diamond found by luck and impressed about the hospitality, professionalism and products. A place to visit and people to meet.
